Strength and Power Endurance Phase
- 4 week phase designed to maximize the athletes strength levels along with building a base of endurance for powerful movements such as broad jumps and jumps for height
- High repetition plyometrics will be employed during this phase to help peak stimulation of the central nervous system and to build power endurance base.
- Hypertrophy phase, mass gaining phase. Higher repetition full body strength movements will be used to help the athlete gain those few extra pounds of muscle to help put them over the edge against their opponents come next season.
- Speed training consisting of mid distance sprints with various starting positions and short recovery times to help build more specific speed while still keeping a strong condition level.
Focus of On Ice Sessions:
- Component of puck skill development and confidence
- Component of skating, edgework, and balance
- High tempo small area and full ice scrimmages
- Keep a player on the ice and ready for the competition of upcoming tryouts
Focus of Total Hockey Sessions:
- Developing all puck skills
- Improving on ice vision and playmaking ability
- raising players tempo with the puck
- Skating Mechanics and quick starts
- All with personal data tracking, online player profiles, and instant feedback
