Session I - April 9 to April 26

Pre-Tryout Preparation

3 Weeks - Acclimation to Training Phase

  • 3 Week phase designed to acclimate athlete to learning new skills and techniques of the exercises that are going to be built upon throughout the oncoming phases of the program
  • Alignment imbalance corrections will be made during this phase to ensure that the athlete has a solid structure for maximizing the efficiency of the body for optimal training results of the upcoming phases
  • Isometric endurance phase designed to help the body activate a larger portion of its neuromuscular system helping to increase quick twitch muscle activation, balance, alignment and body awareness
  • The main focus of this session is to correct imbalances from the past season and to aid the athlete back into healthy motor patterns to minimize overuse injuries and give the athlete time to prepare for the upcoming tryout season 

Focus of On Ice Sessions

  • Puck skill maintenance
  • Small component of skating and edgework
  • High Tempo small area and full ice scrimmages
  • Keep a player on ice and ready for competition in upcoming tryouts
  • Option of attending more open hockey style ice sessions

Focus of Total Hockey Sessions

  • Developing all puck skills
  • Improving on ice vision and playmaking ability
  • Raising players tempo with the puck
  • Skating Mechanics and quick starts
  • All with personal data tracking, online player profiles and instant feedback
